We returned late Wednesday evening from eight days in Canada. One week in Halifax and a too short 23 hours in Toronto. Yukiko's had a pretty quiet life so far here in our North London flat. Mommy and Daddy don't talk very loud, and we seldom have visitors. That all changed drastically April 30 when we arrived at my parents' place. All my brothers and sisters and nephews and nieces in her face. There was a bit of crying at first but by the end of the week Yukiko was giving as good as she got.

One person we didn't see in Halifax was Yukiko's new cousin Emma, who was born two days after we returned. Congratulations to Chris and Kelly, and to my parents who now have seven grandchildren. Finally the girls outnumber the boys 4-3.

We caught an early morning flight to Toronto Tuesday May 7. I spent some time with former Exprestoites while Yoshie & Yukiko had some quiet time in the hotel. In the evening we had some of Jason's incredible pizza and beer with Yuka and Valdo. Then we got up 4:30 Wednesday morning and arrived home around midnight. Thursday and Friday all of us (baby included!) woke up around noon but now we're slowly getting back to our regular routine.

A fun time was had by all. Now we have to plan our trip to Japan.
