My first day of work at Nexus Alpha. Assembled my desk, hooked up my computer and met about a dozen people, most of whom's names I still remember. I'll be part of the team building the new Java version of their integrated transport information system. Dave puts his mark on the UK rail and bus service. Fitting since I'll be spending almost 4 hours a day riding the rails. And then there's the lovely half hour walk through Medway Estate Industrial Park from Strood train station. But I will not complain. It feels good to be back at work, and I should learn some interesting technology. If things work out we may move closer to the Thames estuary, since Yoshie will have to do far less travelling than me. We'll see.
