We took a (train to) Bath this weekend. Small and more crowded than I thought it would be. The tiny square between the cathedral and the roman baths had a neat medievalish feel to it, especially at twighlight with the buskers and giant flames from the hot air baloon basket. By the time we arrived, had a late lunch in the Pump Room took a walk up to The Circus and The Royal Crescent, and a quick look inside the cathedral it was too late to see the baths themselves. We were able to look down from the restaurant into the smoking green water though. A nice day out, but a little more planning (we only decided to go the night before) would have been a good idea. Lessons learned for our next day trip.
