Sherri & I can arrange the flowers from here, we'll probably get together to order some for the church anyhow. Well, all I can say is Dad left this world in the best possible way. We were all there the evening before, cracking jokes and being our usual rowdy selves. Dad wasn't in any pain and he wasn't alone, what more could you ask for? I just spoke with mom and plans are taking shape, so by the end of today we should have more info for you Dave. Take care bro, and you are right, WE ARE F..KING AMAZING children and siblings! T.

Resident in Japan

Well. I guess it's time for an update.

We are in Japan. Moved here September 6. Since then I've made a trip to Canada, experienced my first real earthquake (the wimpy tremors I felt in Toronto didn't count) and went shopping during a typhoon. We're currently living in Samukawa, Kanagawa. Yoshie's parents have graciously given us a place to stay until we find our own apartment. Probably regretting that decision now that the girls are tearing up the place.

Yukiko has already surpassed me in speaking Japanese and Minami is walking and climbing stairs. I'll post photos when I can get them into my computer. In the meantime, click here to hear the departing melody at the closest railway station (Kurami).
